The Irish Biometrics Organisation is a not-for-profit trade association representing the Irish biometrics industry.

The IBO provides a number of public services:

• Serves as a central source of relevant, topical information on biometrics technology
• Provides information on biometric solution providers in Ireland
• Gives a biometrics industry point of view for media organisations 
• Promotes the use of best practice in the biometrics industry in Ireland

Membership of the IBO is restricted to biometrics solutions providers based in Ireland, or with an interest in Ireland. Membership is currently free to such providers.
